Residential trainings for theater artists in Tennessee Williams’ Mississippi Delta

Join us in historic Clarksdale, Mississippi in January or August for intensive acting, playwriting or monologue workshops.

The town, once Tennessee Williams’ childhood home, is the perfect setting to focus on craft and art. Each workshop begins with a tour of Clarksdale and the surrounding area, with actors reading monologues and scenes at the very locations Williams set them. We visit the Mississippi River, and Moon Lake, which is featured in most of Williams’ Mississippi Delta plays. There is optional yoga training with the excellent teachers from Delta Yoga; a day off to further explore the area; and museums, restaurants and live Blues to enjoy every night.
